Himachal Pradesh Forest Academy
HPFA is located in DPF Trambri on Keran Road near BBMB Colony, Sundernagar in Mandi District of Himachal Pradesh. It is approximately 6 kms from Sundernagar Bus Stand.
A society namely ‘Natural Resource Management Training & Develpoment Society’ was constituted in 2006 to offer the training and management of HPFA (Earlier
Forest Training Institute & Ranger's College), Sundernagar and Forest Training Institute, Chail,
Distt Solan Himachal Pradesh.
Mandate Of HPFA Sundernagar, HP is as under
1. Induction course for Forest Gaurad of HP (6 Month).
2. Induction course for Forest Range Offiicer of HP (18 Month) of different states sponsored by DFE, MoEF, Govt. of India.
3. Short term, Refresher and Orientation courses of forest officer/official and Ministerial staff.
4. Short term course for Line departments, Project staff, communities and PRIs including MLA along with foresters of adjoining states as per requirement.
